Tatiana Triviño and Vinzenz Zerres support Prof. Lukas Lehnert's working group with the SURVEY project, which uses forest field laboratories to collect data and experience on the development, requirements and management of forests.
Tatiana completed her bachelor's degree in forestry at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and worked at the Bavarian State Institute for Forestry and Forest Management in the field of forest climate stations. In the SURVEY project, she is responsible for setting up and maintaining the experimental areas, installing and maintaining the measuring equipment, and assisting with data collection and evaluation.
Vinzenz completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at our department and has been part of the team as a student assistant for five years. Now, as a doctoral student in the SURVEY project, he is researching how drone-based thermal and multispectral data can be used to expand our understanding of forest vitality. Based on studies in the LMU forest near Landshut, his research includes investigating the possibilities for early detection of the effects of damaging events (e.g. heat and drought stress) on spruce-dominated forests.
